Cold Steel

As traditional Chinese armor became more sophisticated, early Chinese archers replaced their side-swords with a sturdy heavy mace. A fascination with all things historically accurate has led Cold Steel to produce this latest offering, the Chinese Mace, that they believe any Chinese soldier or archer would have been proud to own! The classic head is reminiscent of a pumpkin in shape and is approximately 3 inches in diameter. It is welded to a steel shaft that is wrapped with leather for a firm grip. For added leverage, the handle is long enough to accommodate a two-handed grasp. The Chinese Mace weighs a little over 3 pounds but remains surprisingly well balanced!
